Outdoor Scavenger Hunts

While Let's Roam is a worldwide company, they've also got a handful of fun Orlando-specific scavenger hunts for adventurous couples. These tours and scavenger hunts in one can be done at any time and include a series of clues, photo challenges, trivia and sightseeing. Plan for 1-2 hours to complete the scavenger hunt.

Orlando options include:

  • Winter Park Adventure

Tickets are $12.99 and you'll have to download the app in order to partake in the scavenger hunt. Couples only need to purchase one ticket. There's also a fun date night upgrade that will add a series of date-themed challenges to your experience for an extra $9.99/person.

Visit an Alpaca farm

Located in Clermont, LunaSea is an alpaca farm which you can tour by appointment. Interact with the farm's alpacas and llamas and enjoy a tour for $10/person. To book an appointment, call the farm directly at (352) 223-9459.

Or, join in on one of the most unique outdoor date ideas we've come across recently: yoga with baby alpacas. Yoga sessions are $25/person and include 40-45 minutes of yoga plus plenty of time for playing with the animals. Each class is limited to 12 people and can be reserved by calling Brooke at (352) 223-1763. Make sure to bring your own mat and a large towel, and wear close-toed shoes. Check out the schedule here.

This local tour company leads fun bike tours throughout the city with stops at local breweries along the way. Tours are typically $50/person and include three beers, happy hour pricing at Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company all day, and your tour guide. Surprise Serenade

If you're celebrating a special occasion this summer, planning to get engaged or just want to level up your outdoor picnic, consider adding some live music to the mix. Local company Music Remembrance specializes in romantic surprise serenades. The team of musicians, many from Orlando's theme parks and the symphony, is comprised of Italian guitarists, singers, violinists, quartets, jazz musicians and more. Surprise your date during an outdoor picnic or while dining on a patio for a romantic touch.

Paddle with a Purpose

Another kayaking option, Paddle with a Purpose offers a fun paddling experience with a twist. Join in for a waterway cleanup cruising around Lake Ivanhoe and removing trash to keep our Central Florida waterways beautiful.

Robert Figueroa started Paddle with a Purpose with a mission to remove a single ton of trash from local waterways. To date, the organization has far surpassed that goal and has collected more than 14,000 pounds of trash from waterways throughout Key West, South and Central Florida.

Tickets are $25 and include your kayak or paddle board rental. You can purchase tickets to volunteer and paddle for upcoming events on Eventbrite.

Private Horseback Ride

You, your date, a couple of horses and the great outdoors. Sounds pretty perfect, right? Hidden Palms Ranch offers small group and private trail rides through the scenic Lake Jesup Conservation Area, just outside bustling Historic Downtown Sanford.

Private trail rides can be booked for $109/person. It'll just be you, your love, your guide and wide open spaces. Scenery includes gorgeous hammocks of ancient live oaks, expansive floodplains and more.

The drive is 2 miles total, and you can add on a stop to get out and hand feed a giraffe if you'd like.

Paint in the Park

Join a painting workshop in an outdoor park or on your own front porch. Local artist Chelle Marshall owns The Dirty Pour Project, a fluid painting company that hosts regular workshops at local breweries and in scenic parks. Couples can book a private Pour in the Park at Blue Jacket Park through the end of August for $50/person. The class includes all materials (11×14 canvas or 4 tile coasters) and instruction.

If you live within a 10 mile radius of Blue Jacket Park, you can book a private Front Porch Pour workshop on your front porch or patio. The cost for this option is $140/couple.
