Think water parks are just a summer thing? Not the case at Universal's Volcano Bay. This month and next, you can slide into an exclusive nighttime adventure at Universal Volcano Bay Nights on select Saturday nights. This limited-capacity event allows guests to enjoy their favorite water attractions, live entertainment, Universal character meet and greets, complimentary snacks, and more at the lush, tropical oasis.
I was invited to check out the opening night of the new fall version of Volcano Bay Nights and was surprised at the spooky season touches! With a mix of party music and Halloween season hits, plus appearances from the Scooby Doo gang (including a villain), this event is a great addition to the Halloween fun at Universal.

What is Volcano Bay Nights?

You read that right, Volcano Bay Nights will take place during Halloween!
You can start entering the park around 4:00 pm, and the event festivities officially kick off at 7:00 pm.
Plan a date night to embrace the Waturi culture and experience Volcano Bay under the stars, all while enjoying lower wait times and exclusive access to some of their favorite water rides and select attractions like Krakatau Aqua Coaster, Ko’okiri Body Plunge, and Kala and Tai Nui Serpentine Body Slides.
Every attraction I walked by during opening night had very few people in line. It was amazing to witness!
To take a break from the thrills, dance along at Waturi Beach with a live DJ under the park’s iconic 200-foot Krakatau volcano. Even the beloved characters from Scooby-Doo like Shaggy, Velma, Fred, and Daphne danced on the beach. But keep an eye out for one of the villains from the animated series, Ghost Clown.

Enjoy Deliciously Festive Bites All Night
Complimentary treats area available, plus exclusive themed menu items for purchase. Enjoy more than 100 drink choices and refills throughout the event with Coca-Cola® beverages in a complimentary Volcano Bay Freestyle Souvenir Cup.
The complimentary snacks are minimal, though, just Pineapple & Coconut Popcorn and Mini Churros. Plus there aren't many locations to pick up these treats.
Head to Kohola Reef Restaurant and Social Club, Dancing Dragons Boat Bar, and Koka Poroka Ice Cream Kona for exclusive menu items. I loved seeing some Halloween season treats like the Witch Cookie with Cheesecake Filling at Koko Poroka Ice Cream.
I even spotted some Pizza Skulls for sale at the snack kiosk near the entrance to the Drop Slides. And there are Pizza Tots for sale, inspired by the iconic Pizza Fries of Halloween Horror Nights.
Universal Volcano Bay Nights tickets are available for purchase for $99.00 plus tax per person and parking is included for the event.
Guests can arrive as early as 4:00 p.m. to enjoy the park ahead of the exclusive event, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Universal Orlando Passholders will receive a 10% discount off the ticketed price of the experience with a valid Annual or Seasonal Pass and valid photo ID.
