One of the most anticipated restaurants in Epic Universe is The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant. It’s tucked in the back of Celestial Park, right across from the entrance to Helios Grand Hotel. You really can’t miss it thanks to the massive blue dragon archway that towers over the entrance.

This place feels nothing like a theme park restaurant. From the moment you step inside, everything feels immersive. It’s perfect for enhancing your visit to Epic Universe, especially if you’re into unique flavors and seriously cool atmospheres.

A Look Inside: Vibe and Decor

The vibe inside is amazing. There are floating lanterns that slowly rise and fall, glowing street-style neon signs (look closely for Epic Universe Easter eggs), giant gold bonsai trees, and a big red pagoda archway anchoring the space. The ceiling even looks like a starry night sky. It’s moody in the best way. Soft instrumental music plays in the background, which makes it a great escape from the hustle of the park.

There are a few different areas to dine in, each with its own look. The bar, called Tiger Bar, is especially cool and has themed artwork made by the “Epic Universe Printing Company.” It’s the kind of place where you’ll want to slow down and take in all the little details.

By the way, another great spot to soak up the atmosphere is the romantic side of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Epic Universe.

The Menu: What to Expect

The menu at Blue Dragon is full of creative pan-Asian dishes, and it’s designed to be shared. You’ll get a “navigator” to help you explore the menu, and they’re super knowledgeable and excited to guide you. Everything we tried was flavorful and beautifully plated.

Some favorites from our meal were the shrimp siu mai dumplings, the double-fried “Korean” wings (the sous chef told us they’ve been working hard to perfect these, and wow they nailed it), the beef Xi’an noodles, and the banana napoleon for dessert. Every dish hit that perfect mix of texture and flavor, and nothing felt overly heavy or overdone.

Drinks and Tea

With so many great bars in Epic Universe, it's no surprise that the drink menu is solid, too. There are teas, cocktails, sake, mocktails, and your standard soft drinks. We tried the Chengdu Dream and Szechuan Smash cocktails, both were delicious and well-presented. There’s also a Stardust Racers-inspired tea called The Dragon’s Stardust Custom Blend, which is a fun little nod to the nearby coaster.

Service and Hospitality

Service was top-tier. Every table has a head navigator and assistant navigators, and you won’t be left waiting for anything. We had someone in our group with a shellfish allergy, and both the sous chef and head chef came out to talk through the ingredients and make sure everything was safe.

The whole team seemed genuinely excited about the restaurant and made the whole experience feel extra special.

Final Thoughts

The Blue Dragon does set a new bar for theme park dining. If you’re into pan-Asian food, or you just want a cool place to unwind on your Epic Universe date night, this is a must. Don’t forget to grab a souvenir swizzle stick or coaster before you leave, they’re a fun way to remember your visit.

Reservations are recommended. They do accept walk-ins when there’s availability, and you can also order food and drinks to-go from the Tiger Bar.
