Orlando is among the best cities in the entire country for a variety of reasons. If you’ve ever enjoyed date night in Mills 50, bar-hopped in Downtown Orlando, or sipped cocktails amid the glow of International Drive, you already know: Orlando knows how to party. Now it’s official—Orlando has been ranked one of the top ten cities in the country for a night out, coming in at #6 overall.
According to a new study from The Liquor Bros, Orlando boasts:
- 942 restaurants per 100,000 residents (more than triple the national average)
- 79 hotels per 100,000 residents (more than double the national average)
- An average hotel rating of 7.69 out of 10
- And yes, 67 nightclubs per 100,000 people
Orlando's Nightlife for Adults
From the high-energy nightlife in Pointe Orlando and the Attractions area to craft cocktails in Ivanhoe Village or live music in Winter Park, Orlando offers an incredible range of date night destinations.
Looking for something more grown-up than glow cubes and theme park margaritas? Orlando has a thriving nightlife scene made for adults.
Spots like Mathers Social Gathering, The Moderne, and The Courtesy serve up atmosphere and artistry with every sip. Prefer something more laid-back? Grab a local beer at Ivanhoe Park Brewing, catch live jazz at Blue Bamboo, or indulge in delectable burgers paired with thirst-quenching libations at The Whiskey on Sand Lake Road.

From first dates to anniversaries—or just a spontaneous Tuesday—Orlando is the kind of city where grown-up fun doesn’t have to mean expensive or complicated. With so many neighborhoods offering their own vibe, you can build your perfect night out again and again, even late into the night.
How Orlando Compares to Other Cities
Other cities making the top ten include New Orleans, Las Vegas, St. Louis, and our fellow Florida hotspot, Miami (ranked #8), but Orlando is the only Florida city in the top 10 where you can end your night watching fireworks over a castle or sipping a drink in a rooftop bar with magical views.
The study considered 13 nightlife-related factors—like average drink prices, number of restaurants and bars, and hotel availability—to rank the cities. Orlando’s affordability, variety, and all-around fun energy helped it shine.

Nora, COO of The Liquor Bros, has commented,
“Whether you’re planning a night out with friends, celebrating a birthday, or organizing a bachelorette party, it’s hard to know where to start when choosing the perfect city for your big night out.
Oh yes, Nora, we here at Orlando Date Night Guide know all about celebrating a birthday in Orlando, and love the amount of bachelorette and bachelor party ideas in our city.
“By looking at factors from all stages of the average night out, including restaurants, nightclubs, hotels, casinos, and transport, this study will hopefully make your decision much easier. Whether your focus is on affordability, hotel ratings, or restaurant quality, this list has the best of the best. With such a huge range of cities in different states and regions appearing in the top ten, there really is something for everybody.
“You can have a great time in any city when you’re surrounded by friends, but if you want a change of scenery, or have a special occasion coming up, consider visiting one of these top ranking cities for an unforgettable night.”
