This fall, Orlando is putting a little boo into the performing arts with vampire comedies, sinister symphonies, spooky musicals, and gothic storytelling.

Orlando Halloween Shows for Daring Date Nights
American Gothic

If you can’t wait for Halloween, even in August, know that you can step into the eerie world of American Gothic: The Harvest Ritual, an immersive stage production bringing a haunting harvest celebration to town.
Blending theatrical storytelling, dark folklore, and unsettling seasonal traditions, the show invites audiences to experience the darker side of the harvest in a performance that’s mysterious and spine-tingling. The Fashion Square Mall is pretty creepy as it is, so… why not?!
Little Shop of Horrors

Floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new (and unusual) breed of plant, which he names “Audrey II,” honoring his crush. Over time, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s out-of-this-world origins and intent to take over the world. Jeepers!
Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors

This 90-minute take on the classic bloodsucking tale is more about making you laugh than making you hide behind your date. Music for the Macabre: Halloween in Concert

Cue the creepy soundtrack! Music for the Macabre transforms the DPC concert hall into a cinematic Halloween experience, pairing iconic movie moments with a live community orchestra. This Halloween date night is a great excuse to dress up in something slightly more dramatic than your usual dinner-date attire.
Evil Dead The Musical

If your idea of romance involves rock music, outrageous comedy, and a generous helping of horror, this one has your name (and that of your boo) written all over it… in fake blood, naturally. Evil Dead The Musical brings the horror to the stage for a musical mashup of comedy, gore, and rock. The Orlando production features performers from Central Florida Vocal Arts and Opera del Sol.

17th Annual Día de los Muertos & Monster Party
- Location: CityArts, 39 S. Magnolia Avenue, Orlando, FL

The celebration blends the colorful traditions of Día de los Muertos with Halloween-inspired fun, featuring an eclectic exhibition of spooky and spirited artwork by regional and national artists.
Outside the gallery, the party continues (block-party style) with live performances, food trucks, drinks, art vendors, and plenty of creative entertainment.

Haunted Illusions Starring David Caserta

Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics

This intimate concert at The Abbey gives classic Halloween tunes a sophisticated makeover, with a string quartet performing eerie movie and TV themes, classical favorites, and instrumental versions of Halloween songs. It’s creepy, classy, and considerably more romantic than arguing over who’s eating all the Halloween candy.
The Midnight Drearies

Gothic literature lovers, this one’s for you. The Midnight Drearies promises an evening of chilling tales and haunting harmonies at Judson’s Live, the intimate listening lounge inside the Dr. Phillips Center.

Test your courage at this cinematic concert experience, where the psychological horror classic plays on the big screen while the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra performs Hans Zimmer’s haunting score live. For the ultimate Halloween date night, go old school—like really old school. The 1922 silent horror classic Nosferatu returns to the big screen on Halloween night, accompanied by Grammy-nominated organist and composer Cameron Carpenter performing his original score live.

Head to House of Blues at Disney Springs for a Halloween concert featuring Magnolia Park, Ekoh, Oxymorrons, and Lost Trees. With an evening start time on Halloween night, hosted by WJRR, this is a particularly good option for couples who prefer their spooky soundtrack with a heavy rock-and-roll kick.
It may be on Disney property, but it’s very much in contrast to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
Haunt Night at the Conduit

There’s no need to let the fun die after Halloween. Pumpkins & Punchlines, presented by Central Florida Community Arts, runs through Nov. 1 and combines fast-paced improv, audience participation, and fun mysteries. It’s part comedy, part whodunit, and entirely unpredictable on both Halloween and the day after (with a Halloween candy sugar rush).
