Early spring is the time to go blueberry picking in Orlando. Visiting u-pick farms in Orlando for blueberries and other produce is an easy date idea. Finish off your satisfying day date by making homemade jam, pie, or sangria with the fruits of your labor.

Tip: March is the start of blueberry season in Florida. The best time to pick blueberries in Orlando is April to early May.

Orlando itself, being a metropolitan area, does not have many blueberry farms within its borders. However, there are plenty of blueberry farms within a short drive. We've curated our favorites below.

A charming farm awaits in Eustis, just under an hour's drive from Orlando. Amber Brooke Farms is one of my favorites because of the fun activities and beauty of the farm. Throughout the year you can enjoy seasonal events. During the fall their Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch are lots of fun. And during the blueberry season in Florida you can enjoy other outdoor activities too.

Amber Brooke Farms in Eustis tops our list of places to pick your own blueberries because of the great farm setting with included activities. Plus there is a small playground for young kids and a stand selling craft beer and wine, and soft drinks.

Important note – Please check Amber Brooke's Facebook or Instagram page before making your trip out to the farm. They will notify everyone via social media if the farm has been picked out for the day.

Southern Hill Farms U-Pick

Entry onto the farm ends at 2:30 pm.

You'll hardly know you're in Florida while picking blueberries atop rolling hills at this family-owned and operated farm in Clermont. This local farm has always been a favorite for blueberries.

You can also pick your own sunflowers for a fresh bouquet! U-Pick Sunflowers: $2/flower *Flower Field Area Pass required to enter; Flower Field Pass: $6 per person ages 10+ and $4 per person for ages 3-9. The pass includes one complimentary u-pick sunflower; Pre-Picked Sunflowers: $3/flower (when available)

Other seasonal u-picks include peaches and blueberries. With over 40 acres of blueberry bushes on 120 acres of land and 10 varieties to choose from, you're bound to find something you enjoy.

Looking for somewhere you can pick organic blueberries? Make your way to this family farm in Clermont where you can pick both conventional and organically grown blueberries. The farm also offers u-pick sunflowers. While you're there, you can typically also buy blueberry plants to take home if you want to try growing your own.

King Grove Organic Farm Blueberries

In the spring of each year, King Grove Organic Farm in Central Florida produces some of the most delicious and nutritious blueberries found anywhere in the world. Back in 1874, John King established the farm, and the blueberries (now surrounded by fields of wildflowers, old-growth woods, wetlands and wildlife) are the crown jewels. Their Facebook page has updates often.

Tom West Blueberries

This family-operated blueberry farm in Ocoee prides itself on its smart, earth-friendly agricultural practices. Tom West grows several blueberry varieties. You can pick to your heart's content when they open for picking in March or April.

JG Ranch U-Pick Blueberries

Blueberries: April – May
Blackberries: May – June

Open 9 months of the year for U-pick customers, this family-owned farm is a relaxing getaway from the city. Though notorious for having over 60,000 strawberry plants, JG Farms offers blueberry picking (April-May) and has blackberry bushes (June-July).

Again, make sure to check the farm's Facebook page or call ahead to confirm availability and hours before heading out the door.

Ever After Farms

Beck Brothers

Pick your own fresh blueberries at this farm in Windermere. The season typically kicks off in April, although details for 2024 have not yet been announced. Check Facebook for the latest updates.

Far Reach Ranch

1255 S. Dora Blvd., Tavares, FL 32778
Blueberries: March – May

Far Reach Ranch was established in 1947 as a cattle ranch and orange grove and eventually became a blueberry farm in 1994 when the first few acres were planted. The farm has UPICK, events, live music, and more throughout the year.

Kickstarting on Wednesday, March 27th, they will be open for berry-picking fun Wednesdays through
Saturdays from 9am to 5pm, with a jam-packed Thursday evening Sunset UPICK experience from 5pm to 9pm. During Sunset UPICK hours, patrons can enjoy hayrides, a full bar, delicious food from the Canteen Ranch Kitchen, live music, a playground and bounce house, and plenty of yard games to entertain kids of all ages. On Sundays, stop by for Vinyl Brunch, which includes brunch-themed menu and cocktails, a DJ playing the farm’s curation of vinyl records, activities for kids, and UPICK. Vinyl Brunch will be 10am to 2pm and UPICK until 4pm.

UPICK blueberry pricing is $5 per pound and pre-picked blueberries will be $6.50 per pound.

Keel Farms U-Pick Blueberries

5202 Thonotosassa Rd, Plant City, FL 33565
Blueberries: April – May

Keel Farms in Plant City offers u-pick organically grown strawberries during strawberry season for $8 per pound. Once strawberry season has ended (usually around late March), the farm transitions from strawberry u-pick to blueberry u-pick. Blueberries are ripe for the picking from April-May.

Blueberry season officially kicks off with the annual Keel Farms Blueberry Festival! This event takes place on March 30th, April 6th, April 7th, April 13th, April 14th, April 20th, and April 21st from 10:00am – 3:00pm. They will have all things blueberries, with great events and activities like camel rides, a petting zoo, bounce houses, and unique vendors. Entry is free for all, and parking is $10 per car.

Check the farm’s Facebook page for updates. Keel Farms is dog-friendly, so bring your pup along for the fun. We also love grabbing lunch and a craft beer under the covered patio.
