AquaGlow at Aquatica: The BEST Way to Beat The Florida Heat This Summer

Two girls in the water under glowing lights at Aquatica Orlando for AquaGlow

Whether you are a Florida resident full-time, or just visiting for a fun summer trip, we all know one thing: Florida is HOT!

While the sun stays up longer, sometimes the shaded areas just aren't enough to power through a day at the park, which is why the dusk and nighttime hours are a much more tolerable temperature.

If you're looking to really turn down the heat and turn up the glow, AquaGlow at Aquatica is one of the best ways to beat the heat this summer, and we're here to let you know exactly why!

Ways to Beat the Summer Florida Heat at AquaGlow

Party under the neon stars with a super hyped up evening at AquaGlow. From water slides to lazy rivers, exclusive drinks, epic neon lights, and jammin' music, this is a thrilling summer experience for you and your sweetheart, without the blazing sun!

1. No Sun, No Problem

AquaGlow runs select nights from May 15 to September 26, 2026. As a separate ticketed event, this means you get after-hours access to Aquatica from 8 p.m.-11 p.m.

This means that the blazing sun is down and the neon lights are turned up for your enjoyment!

Pro Tip: If you want to start the fun even earlier, your ticket allows admission beginning at 4 p.m.

2. Warm Waters, Cool Vibes

Even when the sun is down, you may ask yourself, ” Isn't the water cold?!” Not at all! Aquatica keeps its water at 82° all year. It's actually the perfect temperature to experience all the water slides, lazy rivers (Yes, there's two!), wave pool, and more!

Pro Tip: Bring water shoes to walk around the park; the ground and sand can be a bit tough on your feet in some places. Do note that footwear isn't allowed on Riptide Race, Omaka Rocka, Reef Plunge, and Ihu's Breakaway Falls.

3. Short Lines, Low Wait Times!

Arguably, one of the best perks of AquaGlow is the limited capacity, which means shorter lines and lower wait times. No need for waiting under the sun on the water slide stairs while you carry

4. Exclusive Summer Treats!

We tried all the new summer food items this year and can safely say there are some great options. We loved the Mango Habanero BBQ Wings and the absolutely neon-tastic Rainbow Cheesecake Cone.

The BBQ wings were a perfect spicy and sweet snack, and the cheesecake cone was a delightful sweet treat to share between the two of us!
