Tucked just beyond the gates of Walt Disney World, Conrad Orlando feels like a true escape, without ever leaving Central Florida. During my media tour of the resort, I kept thinking how ideal this place is for couples looking to reconnect, relax, and indulge without the stress of travel. It's a fantastic romantic getaway.

Quick Highlights of Conrad Orlando

Design and Amenities

The design is sleek and modern, but warm. Floor-to-ceiling windows in many of the rooms overlook Evermore Bay, a crystal-clear lagoon that glistens in the Florida sun. Evermore Bay dominates social media with its gorgeous appearance that easily goes viral. But in person, it lives up to the hype. There are cabanas, hammocks, and cozy spots all around the lagoon’s sandy shoreline, perfect for slowing down and soaking up some quiet time together. Plus, kayaks and paddleboards are included in Conrad Orlando's resort fee.

What's more is Conrad Orlando has an exclusive pool, complete with a young kids' area to the side. The Conrad Orlando pool is exclusive to the hotel, whereas Evermore Bay is open to all guests staying at Evermore Resort, including the vacation homes and villas.

Of course, there are luxurious cabanas available for rent, but even just the lounge seating is anything but standard. As I strolled around the pool during our tour, the lounge chairs built into the shallow water caught my eye.

Conrad Dining

What really impressed me was the dining. From rooftop cocktails to beautifully plated seafood and steaks, the resort’s restaurants make you want to linger over every bite. The dining options at Conrad Orlando add even more to the experience. We toured several of the on-site restaurants, and each one had a distinct atmosphere that felt intentionally crafted for a romantic evening or a special treat.

The rooftop restaurant, Ceiba, is a must-visit for dinner with a view. The setting is gorgeous, especially at sunset, and the menu leans into seasonal ingredients and upscale Latin flavors.

Inside the resort, Sophia’s Trattoria offers a cozy take on modern Italian with dishes that are elegant without feeling fussy. And for something more relaxed, Papaya Club by the lagoon has tropical cocktails and shareable bites that are perfect for a breezy afternoon together.

Even just grabbing a cocktail in the lobby felt like an elevated experience, thanks to the thoughtful design and welcoming staff.

The Spa

We also toured the Conrad Spa water garden, and it’s the kind of peaceful, luxurious space that makes you forget your phone exists. The peaceful water garden is tucked behind the spa’s main space. It’s quiet, open-air, and surrounded by greenery, a hidden retreat just steps from the guest areas.

Even more tempting was the wellness room I toured. It’s an adults-only guest room with direct access to that same water garden through a private patio. As soon as I saw it, I quietly added it to my wishlist. It’s the kind of splurge I’d love to save up for.

Add in the fact that it’s all just a short drive from home, and suddenly a Conrad staycation feels like a very good idea.

Whether you’re celebrating something special or just need a reset, this is one staycation I’d happily repeat.
