Bruno’s Oysters in Winter Garden for Cozy Vibes, Seafood, and More

Bruno's Oysters in Winter Garden

The first time I ever set foot inside Bruno’s Oysters, the doors had not officially opened just yet. I knew then that the Winter Garden area had a pearl about to be unearthed. Although the term hidden gem is overused these days, Bruno’s Oysters lives up to the charm of such a designation, especially as it is tucked within the Barrel Room of Crooked Can Brewery.

What To Expect at Bruno’s Oysters

Date night here is equal parts intimate and indulgent. Bruno’s Oysters in Winter Garden is a 90-square-foot jewel, small in size but big in flavor. Think freshly shucked oysters, house-made charcuterie, and creative bites that are as playful as they are elegant.

Oysters Worth Falling For

Oysters are the star here, sourced daily from both East and West coasts, with a special love for the sweet, briny varieties from Prince Edward Island. Each one is shucked to order and served with house condiments like a refreshing watermelon-serrano mignonette, Bruno’s fresh cocktail sauce, lemon, and butter crackers. And if you want to mix it up, don’t skip the roasted oysters with duck skin crumble and umeboshi — unique, rich, and perfect for sharing.

If you’ve had the pleasure of traveling to Europe, you may know that tinned fish is a specialty of many wine bars and restaurants. Bruno brings some of the best from around the globe to Winter Garden. Americans have been missing out on this gastronomic treat, and I urge you to take advantage of the tinned fish offerings at Bruno’s Oysters.

Beyond the Shell

While oysters are the main attraction, the rest of the menu makes it easy to linger over multiple plates. A few date-night standouts:

  • Oysters Rockefeller with Pernod, gruyere, and lemon confit
  • Smoked Fish Tart with a flaky lamb fat crust
  • Duck Confit Grilled Cheese on house-made bread
  • Roasted Bone Marrow with a crisp radish salad

Bruno’s also offers French-inspired charcuterie like chicken pâté and pork terrine, making it a great spot for couples who love to graze and share.

Happy Hour for Two

Date night doesn’t have to break the bank. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, you’ll find $2 oysters during happy hour. Pair a platter with a cold pint from Crooked Can and you’ve got an elevated night out that still feels casual and fun.

The Vibe

Bruno calls it “90 square feet of love,” and it’s exactly that: intimate, cozy, and welcoming. The casual upscale feel carries over from Bruno’s sister restaurant, The Foreigner, but here the focus is on oysters, playful small plates, and conversation.
