A delicious night out that also gives back
Every fall, the Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic turns the causeway between these two iconic resorts into one of the most magical tasting events in Orlando. But this year brought something even more meaningful: the resort proudly announced that the 16th annual event raised $15,000 for Wounded Warrior Project, continuing a growing tradition of supporting veterans during National Veterans and Military Families Month.
As someone who attends this festival every year, and counts it as one of my favorite date nights in all of Orlando, I can say with confidence that 2025 felt special in more ways than one.
2025 Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic Recap
The moment you step onto the illuminated causeway, with live music floating over Crescent Lake and chefs proudly presenting their most creative dishes, it feels like stepping into a foodie dream. I said it during our preview coverage and I’ll say it again: this year really did taste better than ever.

$15,000 for Wounded Warrior Project
The event’s high point came when Swan and Dolphin Area General Manager Sean Verney, a U.S. military veteran himself, presented the donation check to representatives from Wounded Warrior Project, including a veteran who has directly benefited from the organization’s programs. It was a heartfelt moment tucked into an already memorable night, and a reminder of how this event has grown into more than a tasting festival. It has become part of the resort’s mission to give back while creating experiences that bring people together.

Knowing that the proceeds support free programs for post-9/11 veterans, everything from mental health care to long-term rehabilitative support, makes your night out feel even more meaningful. And I loved learning more about the Wounded Warrior Project this year.
It’s a perfect blend of indulgence and impact. You can savor the signature dishes from the resort’s restaurants, linger over wine pairings, and enjoy the romantic glow of the causeway while also contributing to something important.

A Meaningful Date Night
What I’ve always loved most is how effortlessly the Food & Wine Classic works as a date night. There’s room to wander, plenty of cozy corners for couples to pause and enjoy their plates, and a relaxed, grown-up vibe that never feels rushed. You can take your time, revisit favorites, discover new flavor combinations, and even sneak over to the beach for a quiet moment by the water. It feels elevated without feeling formal, and special without feeling fussy.
And this year my husband and I attended, enjoying a true date night thanks to the awesome on-site Camp Dolphin. The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is one of the only Disney area resorts with a kids' club, and we are so thankful for the wonderful care of our son.

This year’s donation announcement added a beautiful layer of meaning to an already standout Orlando event. If you haven’t made the Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic part of your annual date-night calendar yet, consider this your sign. Whether you’re a foodie couple, a resort-lover, or simply looking for a romantic night out with heart, this experience truly delivers.
