We just returned from a media preview of the new Spaceship Earth Lounge in EPCOT, opening on June 4! It's part of the many new rides and shows at Walt Disney World. Best of all for date nighters? It's 21+ and older only!! This swanky spot is quite exclusive, with advance reservations being required. After months of anticipation, here's what we experienced and what you need to know before you go.
Location of Spaceship Earth Lounge
This date-worthy spot is already one of the most romantic spots in Walt Disney World. This revamping of a lounge above the attraction's exit, was previously reserved for VIPs and other private functions.
While most folks are excited about the views of EPCOT Fireworks, there is much more to this destination then a stunning ten minute nighttime spectacular. Since the fireworks viewing experience is a separate, reserved experience with a prix-fixe menu, you may be curious if it is worth visiting outside of the fireworks timeframe. I am here to tell you, for a special occasion or for any EPCOT loving fan, it most certainly is!
The creative, culinary-inspired cocktails (including two NA drinks), paired with small plates, and best of all attention to detail is an elevated experience altogether.
The name of this lounge is “GEO-82” and it is a love letter to the park's iconic attraction! The name GEO-82 is a nostalgic nod to Spaceship Earth—which opened in 1982. At GEO-82, you’ll be immersed in the storied history and enduring legacy of this timeless EPCOT icon.
Enjoy Exquisite Plates & Drinks
Get ready to enjoy craft cocktails, exquisite small plates, and one of the most sophisticated atmospheres inside a Disney World theme park. Availability is extremely limited, and proof of age via photo identification will be required.
For an afternoon snack, choose from carefully crafted dishes from around the world, including the Jumbo Lump Crab Gâteau, Funghi Flatbread, Cannellini Hummus, Truffled Ahi Tuna, and more. We sampled the Jumbo Lump Crab Gâteau, and one serving was not nearly enough of this delicious seafood-forward bite, topped with microgreens from The Land pavilion.
And the Funghi Flatbread is far more vibrant than I expected with rich earthy flavors paired with bright vegetables and decadent cheese.
Pair your food with a specialty drink, such as the Caramelized Leek Martini, the Brown Butter Old Fashioned (with an iconic Spaceship Earth embossed ice cube), or the Banana Brûlée Highball.
Choose from featured cocktails, zero-proof cocktails, as well as selections of wine and beer. The cocktail menu includes graphics to inform you of the drinks preparation and serving style including glassware and ice. Be warned, drinks at GEO-82 are $20 and up! This is definitely a place reserved for special occasions and celebrations.

GEO-82 Fireworks Experience
For a perfect conclusion to your day, reserve the GEO-82 Fireworks Experience as part of the Enchanting Extras Collection for new views of Luminous The Symphony of Us from tables along the lounge’s windows. This premium experience includes a tasting tower of savory light bites, sweet selections, Champagne poured tableside, and event-exclusive cocktails.
In fact, the Champagne is a special EPCOT exclusive, and the few sips I had from our sample event were divine! And as someone who has seen EPCOT's fireworks countless times, GEO-82 makes it a whole new experience. The show's audio plays inside the lounge, the lights dim, and suddenly everyone is the lounge is in awe, together – all while in a stunningly beautiful space.
Decor and Details
GEO-82 Lounge is best for guests who appreciate design with a story. As you enter, the hallway is lined with starlight-inspired lighting overhead—an homage to the finale of the Spaceship Earth attraction. The geometric patterns on the walls and ceiling echo the iconic triangular panels of the park’s signature structure, instantly setting the tone for a space that celebrates EPCOT’s past and future.
Inside the lounge, the lighting evolves throughout the evening, shifting from golden hues that evoke the warm glow of early EPCOT concept art to cooler tones that reflect the illuminated gardens and Spaceship Earth itself after sunset. Every detail is deliberate, from the sleek furniture to the dishware and glassware, which incorporate futuristic shapes and subtle geometrical motifs.
It's a setting that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking, perfectly aligned with the spirit of EPCOT. What a great date night and romantic spot at Walt Disney World.
