SIGNIA BY HILTON ORLANDO BONNET CREEK RESORT REVIEW

Bonnet Creek is a resort area that is accessed on Walt Disney World property. There are multiple resort hotels in the Bonnet Creek area and Signia by Hilton is a favorite. It provides a great balance of luxurious resort offerings, while still being relatively affordable and accessible.

WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT SIGNIA BY HILTON ORLANDO BONNET CREEK?

The best thing about Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek is its upscale amenities, restaurants, and pool featuring a three-acre lazy river. The location is hard to beat as well. You're within a few minutes of Walt Disney World theme parks, and yet the resort feels like its own destination.

WHERE IS SIGNIA BY HILTON ORLANDO BONNET CREEK?

The Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek is located inside the Walt Disney World gates (although technically not on Disney property). If you’re looking to visit a Walt Disney World theme park during your stay, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the closest park at only about an eight-minute drive away.

Bonnet Creek rests on the border of Walt Disney World property, with a lush natural border buffering it from busy Interstate 4.

While Walt Disney World is the closest Orlando attraction to Signia By Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, the resort's proximity to I-4 makes it easy to head to other theme parks like Universal Orlando and SeaWorld Orlando as well as other places of interest like the town of Celebration and nearby Kissimmee.

SIGNIA RESORT LAYOUT AND LOBBY

When you first enter the lobby of the resort, you’ll notice that it has an elevated and sophisticated feel compared to other Hilton properties with its marble decor, hanging light fixtures, and plush carpeting.

What makes this hotel unique is that in addition to the hotel’s amenities and restaurants, hotel guests have access to the additional amenities at the adjoining Waldorf Astoria Orlando including the Waldorf Astoria Spa

ROOM FEATURES

In addition to the hotel’s romantic lobby and pool area, the rooms at the resort provide contemporary decor. The in-room coffee machine is delightful when you want to snuggle in bed, or get a jumpstart on your day.

Inside the closest are two robes and slippers that will have you and your partner feeling right at home. The hotel even offers some pet-friendly rooms as well as some rooms that include Peloton bikes if you want to squeeze in an early morning workout from the privacy and comfort of your room.

To add even more romance, some rooms offer views of Walt Disney World fireworks – we can’t think of anything more romantic than fireworks before bed.

RESORT AMENITIES

When it comes to the amenities offered at this resort, there are a plethora that you and your partner can take advantage of during your stay. During my hosted stay at Signia By Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek I fell in love with the pool and lazy river. I focused mostly on enjoying the resort, but it seemed the Disney transportation was relatively convenient, with pick up times every 30 minutes for Magic Kingdom and every hour for other Disney theme parks.

There's even a way for you to enjoy free mini golf at the resort! Keep reading to find out how.

BUS TRANSPORTATION

One of the biggest perks of the Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek is its complimentary bus service to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom as well as Disney Springs. You can refer to this shuttle schedule for the most up-to-date time and location information.

POOL AREA AND LAZY RIVER

One of the hotel’s standout features is its pool area featuring a three-acre lazy river – yes, you read that right. There’s no need to worry about bringing your own tubes as they’re complimentary to guests on a first-come, first-serve basis. You and your partner can relax and soak up the Florida sun for hours while floating under some light waterfalls.

You can imagine this lazy river is a popular feature for families. In fact, it is one of the most popular Orlando Hotels with Water Parks.

CABANA RENTALS

If you want a more exclusive and private pool experience, private cabanas are available for half and full-day rentals. With a cabana rental, you’ll receive water (4), sodas (6), a snack basket, WiFi, an HD flat-screen television, a ceiling fan, and poolside food and drink service.

Pricing for cabana rentals varies depending on availability, seasonality, and day. However, for a full-day rental, you can expect to pay anywhere from $175 to $400 (excluding taxes and fees), and $175 to $200 for a half-day rental (excluding taxes and fees).

For the ultimate romantic getaway, it can make all the difference. And if you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or other special occasion a cabana makes the celebration truly special.

By the way, you can purchase a day pass or rent a pool cabana through ResortPass without being an overnight guest.

MINI GOLF

For a friendly challenge, you and your partner can head over to the Waldorf Astoria (via a short walk through the hotel or golf cart ride) for a game of mini golf. Since you’re a guest at the Signia, the mini golf is free (just make sure to have your room key handy).

This included mini golf at Bonnet Creek is simple, but perfect for a little friendly competition, and a nice perk of the resort.

DINING

Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek offers several dining experiences both casual and signature for guests to enjoy. These are some of the resort’s standout restaurants:

  • La Luce
  • Harvest Bistro
  • MYTH Bar

LA LUCE

La Luce offers dinner guests a signature dining experience featuring a menu filled with Italian offerings. Some of our favorites include the Caesar Salad ($17), Pizza Ai Funghi ($28) (a great sharing option for couples), and the Risotto Del Giorno ($36-42).

If you’re looking for a sweet way to end your meal, we recommend ordering the Butterscotch Pudding ($10). It’s the perfect size for sharing and is served with generous chunks of house-made toffee.

Don’t forget to take a walk around the restaurant to view the hand-drawn chalk art that sits on the walls.

HARVEST BISTRO

If you and your partner want to enjoy a hearty breakfast together before hitting the theme parks, the breakfast buffet ($30) at Harvest Bistro is a great option. With a selection of scrambled eggs, roasted tomatoes, breakfast potatoes, pastries, charcuterie, fruits, and more, it is unlikely that you will leave this restaurant hungry.

If you’d rather order your food a la carte, you can do that, too. Buttermilk Pancakes ($21), Fresh Toast ($22), and Eggs Your Way ($23) are a couple of offerings that can be ordered aside from the breakfast buffet.

The casual eatery also serves lunch and dinner but does so without a buffet. The Grilled Chicken Sandwich ($18) and pan Seared Salmon Bowl ($30) are some great lunch options and the Roasted Half Chicken ($32) and the Mac and Five Cheese are a couple of popular dinner choices.

MYTH BAR

If drinking with your partner sounds like something you would both enjoy, you can head to MYTH bar located towards the back of the lobby. Specialty cocktails include Sunny Daze ($21) made with Stoli Elit, The Botanist Gin, Cocchi Americano, and Lemon Pearls as well as the Violet Toucan ($17) made with Copali White Rum, Lime Wedges, Agave, and Lavender Bitters.

If you want to take things outside you can do that too and enjoy a drink and some light bites including Hand Cut Truffle Fries ($15) and Hummus & Olives ($17) on the outdoor patio filled with cushioned seating and fireplaces.
