Cinco de Mayo is just around the corner and there are plenty of local events perfect for celebrating this holiday. With Cinco de Mayo on a Sunday this year you know there's lots of fun in store! We're sharing our favorite Cinco de Mayo Events in Orlando, from local hangouts to big block parties!

Cinco de Mayo Weekend at Kavas Tacos + Tequila
Saturday – Monday, May 3-5; Brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Fire shows at 7, 8 and 9 p.m.
Kavas Tacos + Tequila, Pointe Orlando
Enjoy Cinco de Mayo festivities Saturday and Sunday at Kavas, featuring games and prizes, drink specials, and live mariachi performances from 1-3 p.m. Then, head back on Cinco de Mayo Monday for a mini piñata scavenger hunt at 3 p.m. (with your chance to win free drinks or dessert), party llamas from 6-8 p.m., plus Mariachi dancers from 7:30-9:30 p.m.
Derby/Cinco Party Weekend Extravaganza
Saturday – Sunday, May 3 – 4; Saturday from 2-11 p.m. & Sunday from 2-8 p.m.

Get ready for big hats, bold bowties, and all the Derby Day flair you can handle for the 3rd annual celebration of the most exciting 2 minutes in sports on Saturday, May 3rd from 2pm – 11pm. There will be a custom hat maker on site, plus Mohawk Smokehouse BBQ will be serving up good eats from 5-8 p.m.
Come back Sunday, May 4th from 2pm – 8pm for our official release of our new Reposado Mezcal. Enjoy an afternoon of margs and birra tacos from Fui Yo Mexicana 3 – 6 p.m.

On Saturday, enjoy Cinco de Mayo themed music spun by a DJ from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and again from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Drink specials will be available.
On Sunday, from noon until 5 p.m., enjoy a Mariachi band (2-3 p.m.), a DJ (noon – 2 p.m.; 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.), and a variety of drink specials including:
- $25 Margarita or Sangria pitchers
- $20 Mexican Beer buckets
- Modelo and Tequila Shot for $8 (with proof of food purchase)
