Dog House

You had us at “crazy dogs and loaded tots.” Dog House’s Edgewater location (they’re also in the Conway neighborhood) is right next to the Soda Fountain. Can you imagine a better pairing than hot dogs, tots, and ice cream?

Midwesterners might enjoy coming in for a Chicago Dog. The flavor-packed toppings on the menu include everything bagel seasoning, crushed Fritos, parmesan, sriracha, and even peanut butter.

A few doors down is Blended Bistro & Boba. A College Park destination for Vietnamese favorites like boba, Bahn mi, and pho. This family-owned cafe also serves winners like Pad Thai and Poke here too. But it's the creamy boba milk tea that’s making our mouths water.

For a truly authentic Italian date night, there’s no place like Turci Pasta (formally Trevi Pasta). This storefront is an Italian market and small service restaurant with a cozy mom-and-pop Italian cafe atmosphere. Turci Pasta makes fresh pasta daily using seasonal ingredients, so call ahead to see what is cooking. Enjoy Italian linguine, ravioli, and gnocchi daily with seasonal homemade sauces.

This neighborhood bottle shop features beer and wine plus Duck & Drake Kitchen. The food from Duck & Drake pairs perfectly with the wine, and is available Wednesday – Saturday 5pm – 9pm. Cozy up at an indoor table or on the outdoor patio while you sip.

A dog-friendly craft coffee shop. Need we say more?  Enjoy Lineage coffee and locally made pastries from 7am-3pm Monday-Saturday, and Sundays 8am – 2pm. Make it a pup date and bring the whole fur family.

Zeytin Turkish Cuisine

Head north on Edgewater Drive to get to this cozy neighborhood restaurant. You can’t miss it with its blue and white facade, hand-painted to reflect outdoor diners enjoying a stiff Turkish coffee. Pick a pide (traditional Turkish flatbread with stuffings) from their long list – lamb, sausage, spinach, feta.

    This is BOMB!!!! Yet again, this is my area of “home”. I will be checking off this list! BTW thank you for the 100 Date Night Valentine’s Day List. My guy and I saw you at the Tapas & Tango in Winter Park! Great EvenT!!!
