I have been such a fan of Cuba Libre Orlando ever since we first visited last year to try their 15 Tastes of Cuba menu. Located at Pointe Orlando with lots of parking nearby, this picturesque restaurant wows with classic Cuban food and a dozen different styles of mojitos served in what feels like an outdoor Havana courtyard. It’s such a wonderful date night spot. Check out that full review here.

But these days the restaurant/Salsa nightclub is turning heads with its $5 Happy Hour, featuring specially priced cocktails and bar bites seven days a week from 5pm – 7pm.

Edible offerings, which chefs call picadas, include Malanga Fritters, Tostones and Mamá Amelia's Empanadas. There are 12 different food items, all priced at $5 each.

Munch your bar-side feast with a $5 mojito, $4 glass of wine or sangria, or $5 house-made Caipirinha, a rum-based cocktail infused with fresh fruit and muddled limes.

You can check out the full Happy Hour menu here.

After Cuba Libre, consider spending a few more hours at Pointe Orlando. Here are a few ideas:

  • Laugh until your gut hurts courtesy of a stand-up comic at Improv Orlando. Shows typically start at 7:30pm or 8pm.
  • Listen to live music at BB King’s Blues Club. Bands hit the stage nightly at 7:30pm. There is a $5 cover charge per person.
  • Catch a movie at Regal Cinemas Pointe Orlando Stadium 20.
  • Sip a frosty cocktail inside the winter wonderland at minus5° Ice Bar.

Pointe Orlando is located at 9101 International Drive, across the street from the Orange County Convention Center.

Valet Parking is available at the Pond Courtyard located on International Drive and at the entrance to the parking garage for $10. Complimentary valet parking is provided for patrons of The Capital Grille, Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, Tommy Bahama's Restaurant & Bar, The Oceanaire Seafood Room, and The Pub.

Pointe Orlando's parking validation program offers free parking in the lot with the purchase of a movie ticket or food and beverage at participating restaurants. Patrons need to present their parking ticket for validation.

Parking fees are $3 for the first two hours, $5 for three hours, $7 for four hours, with a maximum fee of $9.00 for 24 hours.
