Romantic Disney Resorts

  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
  • Disney’s Yacht Club
  • Disney's Riviera Resort
  • Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort
  • Disney's Coronado Springs Resort
  • Port Orleans Riverside

Rent a boat at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground to explore Bay Lake or Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to explore the Seven Seas Lagoon. Take a romantic stroll down the vibrant BoardWalk in the evening. There are so many romantic activities for the two of you to explore on Disney property. Yes, you may pay a higher price tag with these Deluxe resorts, but the added magic bestowed by the Cast Members, and the fact that most families book the Value resorts, are sure to be worth your while.

Before we get into the best Disney hotels for couples, it is important to note that guests of Disney Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villa Resorts now gain extra time in the parks. On select nights these guests can stay later at designated parks on designated days.

Also, all Disney hotel guests gain an extra 30 minutes in each park, each day.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

This is one of the most expensive resorts to stay at within Walt Disney World. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is saturated with lavish elegance from the Victorian era. Meander the beautiful grounds as you hold hands and engage in chatter. Continue the conversation as you sip on handcrafted cocktails in the romance-laden lounge of The Enchanted Rose Lounge.

Indulge in fine dining at the well-known Victoria and Albert’s. Make the getaway even more special by booking the private Chef’s Table in the kitchen area. The Senses Spa offers massages for two in a couple’s treatment room. The Courtyard Pool is designed for leisurely relaxation with a whirlpool spa just steps away.

Dining at the recently redesigned Citricos restaurant or dinner with a fireworks view at Narcossee's are great alternatives.

After dinner or a day in the parks, hop on the monorail and head to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort where Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto awaits for an adventurous night of tiki drinks. Lounge for a while or take your drinks to go and grab one of the hammocks scattered along the beach to watch the nightly fireworks over Cinderella Castle. That’s a fairy-tale ending!

Disney’s Yacht Club

Escape to New England in your own backyard! Disney’s Yacht Club Resort sits lakeside with a classy nautical atmosphere. There’s a three-acre recreation area for outdoor enthusiasts to discover and stately accommodations to snuggle close. The formal elegance of The Mouse is worth every penny.

This resort includes three quiet pools with steaming whirlpool spas to soak in as you relax next to your love. Stroll around the entire Boardwalk area, or hop aboard the Disney Skyliner. For dinner, splurge on steaks and seafood at the mature Yachtsman Steakhouse.

Need one more incentive to book this luxurious dream? Your furry companion, Fido, is welcome to join you on your hideaway.

Bonus Idea: If you like the idea of being in the EPCOT and Hollywood Studios area, consider the romance of Disney's Riviera Resort. The European theme is perfect for romance. And two theme parks can be accessed via the Skyliner.

Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort

If you desire to be in the middle of magical happenings with touches of fairytale romance, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort is the place to escape. These two Marriott hotels make up one dynamic complex. The Swan is a Westin brand hotel and is smaller than the Dolphin, which is a Sheraton hotel. As such, Swan is slightly more geared towards couples than the Dolphin, but just by a hair, if you're having trouble deciding between the two options.

And now even more romance can be found at the boutique hotel, Swan Reserve!

Take advantage of Early Entry at the parks, complimentary transportation, advance tee times on Disney golf courses, and complimentary parking at the parks, just to name a few. Celebrate each other while leisurely floating in the swan paddle boats or lazing around the pool area. The five heated pools are arranged to include private places for rest while other areas are lively with excitement.

The Couples Spa Package is meant to be a secluded refuge for you and your significant other. Both of you will receive a Mandara Customized Massage (50 mins) with the Hydrotherapy Experience for Two. Ooo la la!

Disney's Coronado Springs Resort

Budget-friendly option

Many of the best Disney hotels for couples fall into the Deluxe category, however, if you're on a budget don't lose hope.

Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is a Moderate level resort so it has a lower-priced room rate when compared to the Deluxe resorts. This Latin America-inspired resort evokes an exotic location, all while being in the center of Walt Disney World.

The main themed pool, complete with a Mexican-style pyramid, is often busy with families, but the multiple quiet pools around the resort are great for couples to relax. This resort caters to convention guests as well so the dining options are an upgrade when compared to other Moderate resorts.

The Three Bridges Bar and Grill is perfect for an afternoon round of cocktails and bites while on the water. And Toledo is the resort's rooftop signature restaurant. Be sure to check Disney's fireworks schedule and book a reservation to catch a fireworks view as you dine.

This is another Moderate level resort at Disney that is great for adults.

This is a great option if you’re wanting to enjoy a high-end, deluxe Disney resort for less! Suites at resorts like the aforementioned Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Beach Club Villas, Disney's Riviera Resort and others can be rented for up to 60% off Disney pricing. Private DVC members who cannot use their unit in a given year sometimes put it up for rent on secondary marketplace websites.

Enjoy the luxury of your own private, fully equipped kitchen for romantic meals in, or just convenience in the morning. Though unit and on-site amenities vary depending on the resort you choose, you can bet you’ll find one that offers something for both of your needs.

Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a great Disney Vacation Club Resort for adults. It is just a boat ride from Magic Kingdom yet feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle. If the weather is right, dine outdoors at Geyser Point, overlooking the sparkling lake.

Disney's Boardwalk Resort is also a Disney Vacation Club Resort. We love the nighttime entertainment and dining throughout this great resort. And you can walk, boat, or take the Disney Skyliner to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios.
