There’s a fun new event for couples happening this year during the 31st annual Festival of Trees. On Friday, November 17, couples are invited to the Orlando Museum of Art for a special Ugly Holiday Sweater Date Night presented by the Council of 101.
Throughout the evening, you and your partner can peruse the Festival of Trees exhibit complete with stunning holiday trees, décor and vignettes, a gingerbread village, and more. You’ll also be able to explore the museum’s galleries and exhibits, all while donning your best ugly holiday sweaters of course.
In addition to festive décor, there will be live music throughout the evening. Light bites and drinks will be available for purchase at Pearson’s Festival Café.
If you’re not familiar with the Festival of Trees, it’s an annual holiday event–now in its 31st year–held at the Orlando Museum of Art. For one week, the museum becomes a holiday wonderland with dozens of festive trees of all sizes and holiday decor. It’s a great way to get into the holiday spirit ahead of Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Need an ugly sweater? Browse your local thrift shop or head to stores like Walmart and Target, both of which usually have a decent, affordable selection. Or, you can kindly ask your parents or grandma for an old Christmas sweater left lingering in the closet. (Worked for me!)
The Ugly Sweater Date Night is a special one night only Festival of Trees event on Friday, November 17, 2017, from 7-10pm. Tickets are $25/person. We hope to see you there!
