Nerd Nite Orlando: World Space Party 2018

Central Florida’s BBQ Blowout

Rock N’ Blues Concert and Car Show

Lake Concord Park
Morry Sochat & The Special 20’s will headline the concert, where there will also be more than 150 classic cars, muscle cars, and hot rods for car enthusiasts to enjoy, as well as a contest for the best car.
Moonlight Walking Tour at Greenwood Cementery
Embark on this bucket-list worthy guided historical tour, which visits around 100 graves of notable figures in Orlando’s history. Tours are free and offered monthly, but registration is required in advance and the tours fill up incredibly fast.

Downtown Orlando Historic Walking Tour
This 1.5-hour informative walking tour highlights buildings of historical significance in the Downtown Historic District. Bonus perk: attending the guided tour grants you free admission to the Orange County Regional History Center for the day.

Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards
Walk around over 80 acres of planted vineyards, sampling and sipping wine for free – what could be better? Lakeridge Winery offers complimentary winery tours and wine tasting 7 days a week. The winery is located in Clermont, about a half hour away from downtown Orlando.
The Alfond Inn
Visit this boutique hotel for a free guided tour of the Alfond Collection of Contemporary Art on display. Tours are led by a Cornell Fine Arts Museum staff member every Sunday beginning at 1pm.

Lake Eola Park
Downtown Orlando’s free outdoor movie series returns in April! Pack a picnic and head to Lake Eola Park for monthly outdoor screenings of family-friendly flicks all summer long. Pre-movie activities begin at 6pm, and movies start at 8:15pm.

Baldwin Park First Friday Festival & Art Stroll
New Broad Street & Jake Street
This family and pet-friendly event is held the first Friday each month from 5:30-9:30pm. Peruse goods from a variety of local and small businesses ranging from beauty and fashion to health and fitness, as well as over 70 local artisans who will have their art on display.

Alive After 5
Historic Downtown Sanford
This monthly street party features local artists and live music, and is held on the second Thursday of each month from 5-8pm, rain or shine. Food and drinks are available for purchase. This is a great opportunity to walk around Historic Downtown Sanford and check out the many local shops, antique stores, and art galleries.
Each month has a theme, upcoming themes are:

3rd Thursday Gallery Hop
Downtown Arts District
Peruse art in 10+ local art galleries followed by an official after party. Events are held on the third Thursday of each month from 6-9pm.

Sanford Art Walk
Historic Downtown Sanford
The Sanford Art Walk provides guests with a wonderful opportunity to browse through art at several galleries within walking distance of each other. The event is held every third Saturday from 6-9pm. The themes switch every month, with April’s being “Art Is A Drag, May’s theme is “Animals”, and June’s being Kaleidescope, which is all about color.

Orlando Critical Mass
For a truly unique date night, join the world’s largest bike ride! Critical Mass is held every last Friday of the month and departs from Loch Haven Park at 6pm.

Music At The Casa
Casa Feliz Historic Home Museum & Venue
This stunning and historic piece of Winter Park history is open to the public Sunday from 12-3pm. In addition to touring the home and learning about its significance, guests can also enjoy live music ranging from jazz to folk. The musical group changes each week. Casa Feliz is also open to the public Tuesdays & Thursdays between 10-12pm.
Museums and Galleries
Cornell Fine Arts Museum
Located on the campus of Rollins College, the museum is open Tuesday – Sunday and offers a free museum tour on Saturdays at 1pm. There is also a collection of art displayed at the Alfond Inn in Winter Park which is open to the public to view at any time, and for those wishing for a more informational tour, a free tour is given at the Alfond every Sunday at 1pm.
Head to Downtown’s largest collective of galleries which features both local and international works rotated monthly. The galleries are open Tuesday – Saturday from 11-6pm. Every third Thursday, a Downtown Orlando Gallery Hop is held and a number of galleries open their doors from 6-10pm. Redefine Art Gallery, whose focus is on contemporary art including street art and graffiti, is located inside CityArts Factory.
Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art
Enjoy free admission to this museum on Park Avenue in Winter Park Friday evenings November-April from 4-8pm. The museum is home to the most comprehensive collection anywhere of Louis Comfort Tiffany Glass.
Gardens and Parks
Kraft Azalea Gardens
This lakefront public garden is located on the shore of Lake Maitland and is a true Winter Park gem. Visitors can enjoy the gardens 7 days a week from 8am-dusk.
This beautiful botanical garden is open every day 7:30am-dusk and is always free. It’s a wonderful place to spend an afternoon exploring the sights, including the butterfly garden and camellia garden.
Blue Jacket Park
Blue Jacket Park was previously the Orlando Naval Training Center and was home to thousands of service personnel, or “Blue Jackets”, hence the name. The park has a nice playground, a beautiful fountain, and offers plenty of areas to walk or jog at any time of day.
