Orlando Story Club Is It Love? July 12, 2017

On July 12, 2017, the Orlando Story Club is giving their storytelling event a romantic twist with a love-themed evening. The theme for July is ”Is it Love?” and asks each storyteller to share a tale about a time he/she thought it was LOVE.

Stories about love in any and all contexts are welcome. Participants are invited to answer questions like:

  • Was it love on your first date?
  • Was it love when you brought your new puppy home?
  • Have you ever been so enamored with something you just had to have it, tell everyone about it?

During the evening, anyone who wishes to share a story in line with the event’s theme can put his or her name into a hat. Ten names will be drawn from the hat at random to determine the storytellers for the evening. Enter your name in the hat for date night bonus points and you may be selected to hop on stage and share your love story!

A panel of randomly selected judges from the audience will score each storyteller. Prizes will be awarded to the top three storytellers.

If you’re unfamiliar with The Orlando Story Club, it is one of several prominent local story clubs where the community gathers for a fun evening of laughter, drinks, storytelling, and making new friends.

In addition to being a budget-friendly option for date night (tickets are $5/person), you’ll also be supporting a local cause by attending. Proceeds from the July 12 event benefit the Timucua Arts Foundation.
